Data Engineer β MDP Project
6+ Month Contract
Maple Grove, MN - Hybrid (3 days/week onsite)
Our client is seeking a data engineering contractor to join our team and help build and maintain the existing marketing data warehouse. This role will build DBT models in a medallion style data mart that combines 10+ data sources and transform them into a holistic model to allow marketing teams to derive actionable insights.
Responsibilities:
β’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ingest, maintain, and deliver analytics data.
β’ Develop and maintain data ingestion and transformation processes within Snowflake using SQL and DBT.
β’ Develop datasets to support ad-hoc analytical needs and reporting.
β’ Monitor data pipelines to ensure data is captured and processed accurately and on time.
β’ Ensure that all processes for receiving, processing, and evaluating data are efficient, replicable and documented.
β’ Perform validation and testing of data transformations and automated jobs to ensure quality data.
β’ Fulfill ad-hoc requests and data processing needs.
β’ Comply with all required internal governance and data privacy requirements
Required Qualifications:
β’ 5+ years professional work experience with relational data models and databases.
β’ Strong Experience with the Snowflake, DBT, AWS.
β’ Strong SQL experience focused on data transformation, cleansing, and preparation.
β’ Experience documenting data processes.
β’ Collaborative team-player
β’ Strong ability to multi-task and balance competing priorities effectively.
β’ Experience working with highly regulated industries.
Preferred Qualifications:
β’ Bachelorβs degree in IT, software engineering or related fields.
β’ Healthcare data experience
β’ Marketing data experience
