Role description
Data Engineer
Contract Length: 6-month contract with expected extension
Travel: Monthly travel to one of the following locations: Dallas, TX; Alpharetta, GA; San Antonio, TX; or Charlotte, NC
Note: This project requires contractors to be U.S. citizens or Permanent Residents.
Must-Have Skills
β’ Hands-on experience building and maintaining data integration and ETL/ELT solutions using AWS Lambda and AWS Glue
β’ Experience developing and supporting orchestration pipelines and automated data workflows
β’ Strong SQL skills and experience implementing data models and database designs
β’ Experience building data pipelines for Snowflake and/or Databricks
β’ Knowledge of data governance, data quality, lineage, and validation practices
β’ Experience troubleshooting pipelines, optimizing performance, and monitoring production data workloads
Qualifications
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
β’ Minimum of 5 years of hands-on data engineering experience
β’ Proven experience designing, developing, testing, and deploying scalable data integration solutions
β’ Experience working with structured and unstructured data across cloud-based platforms
β’ Experience supporting data pipelines and infrastructure for AI and machine-learning workloads
β’ Familiarity with CI/CD, source control, automated testing, and production support for data solutions
β’ Relevant certifications, such as AWS Certified Data Engineer, AWS Certified Data Analytics, or Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer, are preferred
