Data Engineer

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer / Data Governance Consultant for a hybrid contract in Austin, TX. Only local candidates will be considered. Responsibilities: Understands business objectives and identifies solutions through analysis, cost/benefit evaluation, and technical feasibility. Works closely with stakeholders to analyze current processes, gather requirements, and define data input/output needs. Designs and documents system enhancements, data workflows, and program specifications. Evaluates system capabilities and supports the development or modification of data solutions within existing environments. The contractor will support Data Engineering and Data Governance initiatives, including master data, data quality, and enterprise data management efforts. Minimum Qualifications: • 10 years of experience using Informatica tools including PowerCenter, IICS, IDMC, MDM, Axon, EDC, IDQ, Customer360, Supplier360, Entity360 • 10 years of experience establishing Master Data and Reference Data for large organizations • 10 years of experience implementing data quality rules using Informatica Data Quality (IDQ) Preferred Qualifications: • 4 years of experience working with enterprise-scale datasets in Snowflake • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience); Master’s degree or 6+ additional years preferred • 2 years of experience in healthcare or public health environments • 2 years of experience working with state agencies • 2 years of experience using Python for automation and API integration What We Offer: Sistema offers competitive pay and solid benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage.
