Role description
Robert Half Technology are assisting UK's market leading legal organisation to recruit a Data Engineer on a 12 month contract basis - Hybrid working - London based.
A Data Engineer is required to join a growing data team and play a key role in expanding our enterprise data platform. You will work closely with senior members of the team to help increase capacity and support the continued evolution of the organisation's data capabilities.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with solid data engineering fundamentals who wants to contribute to the design, development, and optimisation of a modern cloud-based data platform.
Role
β’ The Data Engineer will support the build and enhancement of the organisation's enterprise data platform.
β’ Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and transformation processes.
β’ Design and implement robust SQL transformations to enable reliable reporting and analytics.
β’ Contribute to data modelling activities to ensure data is structured effectively for business use.
β’ Work across the end-to-end client lifecycle, helping to design and deliver data solutions that support operational and strategic objectives.
β’ Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to identify opportunities for improvement and deliver high-quality data solutions.
β’ Help address current capacity constraints while supporting the ongoing growth of the data function.
Profile
β’ The Data Engineer will have 2-5 years' experience in a Data Engineering role.
β’ Strong SQL skills, including the development of complex queries and SQL-based transformations.
β’ Experience with SQL-based data transformations.
β’ Experience with data modelling principles and best practices.
β’ Hands-on experience working with enterprise data platforms and data pipeline development.
β’ Experience working with Azure Databricks.
β’ Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
β’ Ability to work collaboratively within a cross-functional environment
β’ Experience with PySpark.
β’ Understanding of modern cloud-based data engineering practices.
