Role description
An industry-leading telecommunications client is seeking a Data Engineer to support the orchestration and transformation of security telemetry data across systems. These engineers will focus on flow design, data normalization, and integration tasks, ensuring data is efficiently processed and moved across platforms.
There are 100+ data sources including existing and new that are specific to Cyber Security workloads that are in-scope. These tasks will be performed on one or more data ingestion pipelines (Cribl, Vector, NiFi). This role is hybrid, long-term, and compensates $40-$50/hour depending on years of experience, skillset, and education. Candidates for this position can sit onsite in Bellevue, WA or Frisco, TX.
Required Skills/Experience
β’ 4-8 years of relevant industry experience
β’ Experience designing and managing data flow pipelines including parsing, normalization, and handling legacy log sources
β’ Experience leveraging Cribl and/or open-source platforms
β’ Experience developing and implementing data transformations such as filtering, routing, and converting formats (ex. JSON to CSV)
β’ Experience connecting and integrating data flows with API's, message queues, cloud storage, and databases.
