Data Engineer

We are seeking a Data Engineer with strong data engineering and analytics capabilities to support enterprise data initiatives in a hybrid environment in Irvine, California. This role will focus on analyzing large datasets, supporting data pipelines, and working closely with stakeholders to ensure reliable and scalable data solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with PySpark, SQL, Python, and cloud-based data platforms, along with exposure to modern data warehousing and orchestration tools. • Job Title: Data Engineer • Location: Irvine, CA (Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite) • Contract Duration: 3+ Months (Likely extension for another 6 months based on performance) • Rate Range – $48–58/hr on W2 • Only W2 Candidates, NO C2C Responsibilities: • Analyze and process large datasets using PySpark, SQL, and Python • Support data pipeline development and data processing workflows • Work with AWS-based data platforms to support data ingestion, transformation, and analysis • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions • Maintain and optimize data warehouse structures and data models • Support orchestration workflows using Airflow • Manage and maintain version control using GitHub or BitBucket • Participate in Agile development environments and coordinate with offshore teams when required • Communicate insights and technical solutions effectively with business stakeholders and clients Required Qualifications: • Strong experience with PySpark, Hive, SQL, and Python • Cloud exposure with AWS • Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow • Experience with version control tools such as GitHub or BitBucket • Exposure to MPP data warehouses such as SQL Data Warehouse (SQLDW) or Amazon Redshift • Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts and architecture • Experience working with Databricks • Strong communication and client engagement skills • Experience collaborating with offshore teams Preferred Qualifications: • Experience building Enterprise Data Models, particularly in the Finance or Asset Management domain • Knowledge of financial asset classes such as Fixed Income and Equity • Exposure to DevOps practices • Experience with AWS Data Quality (DQ) tools If you are a Data Analyst with strong PySpark, SQL, and AWS experience and are open to a hybrid opportunity in Irvine, Calfornia, we’d love to connect.
