Role description
Our client, a leading technology firm, is seeking a Data Engineer to join their team. As a Data Engineer, you will be part of the Data Engineering department supporting critical data initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving capabilities, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Data Engineering Specialist Location: Charlotte, NC What's the Job? • Maintain and enhance existing data pipelines for legacy systems. • Troubleshoot and optimize legacy workflows using SQL, Liquibase, SSIS, TFS, and AutoSys. • Contribute to the design and implementation of scalable data lake architecture. • Build modern data pipelines and integrations using technologies such as Hive, Dremio, Python, PySpark, and Airflow. • Support both immediate and upcoming data initiatives with a focus on high-impact results. What's Needed? • Proven hands-on experience with SQL, Liquibase, SSIS, TFS, AutoSys, Hive, Dremio, Python, PySpark, and Airflow. • Strong documentation and communication skills. • Ability to read and understand compiled codebases (e.g., Java, C#); coding ability in these languages is a plus. • A programmer’s mindset with a passion for solving complex data and integration challenges. • Quick learner with the ability to ramp up fast in a dynamic environment.
