Responsibilities
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Data Engineer in Merrimack, NH. Duties:
β’ Simplifying and effectively communicating technical challenges, solutions options, and recommendations to business partners and technology leadership
β’ Data Engineer will provide technical leadership and support in data and solutioning to team members
β’ Produce scalable, resilient, cloud-based systems design aligned with our long-term strategy
β’ Collaborate with team leads, tech leads and architects on setting the technical roadmaps
β’ Recognizing opportunities to bring emerging technologies to deliver innovative solutions to meet business challenges
β’ Understand detailed requirements and deliver solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations
β’ As a Data Engineer, you will take ownership and accountability
β’ Adaptability to a changing and challenging workload
Requirements
β’ 6+ years of related experience in data engineering, data analysis, data warehouses, data lakes and Data Modeling
β’ Good experience with relational database technologies (Oracle SQL & PL/SQL, Postgres, or similar RDBMS)
β’ Experience with Snowflake, AWS RDS, Azure, and other Cloud Data warehousing services
β’ Strong expertise in all aspects of data movement technologies (ETL/ELT) and experience with Control-M and schedulers, Python and shell scripting
β’ Demonstrable experience in understanding multi-functional enterprise data, navigating between business analytic needs and data
β’ Experience with Data Modeling & techniques to design Analytical and OLTP data designs
β’ Prior experience with Data ingestion tool sets (e.g. Apache NiFi, Kafka) is advantageous
β’ Experience with API's, Python, Power apps is advantageous
β’ Experience in Data Architecture (Database design, performance optimization)
β’ Knowledge and expertise of data modelling techniques and standard processes (Relational, Dimensional), plus any prior experience with data modelling tools (e.g. PowerDesigner)
β’ Proven track record as a leader with vision and mentor, working in collaborative teams to deliver high quality data solutions in a multi-developer global environment following design & coding standards
β’ You are self-motivated and function well within a team delivery format
β’ You have excellent organizational and communication skills
β’ Outstanding SQL skills and experience performing deep data analysis on multiple database platforms
β’ Ability to develop highly reliable ELT/ETL pipelines to move data to and from Snowflake data store using combination of Python and Snowflake Snow SQL
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
