Role description
Our client is looking for a Data Engineer to join them on a contract basis for 2 months, starting ASAP. Experience within FS / Building societies is preferred. Key Responsibilities:TL Development & Maintenance: Design, build, and optimise ETL workflows to transfer data from Azure to AWS S3 with high integrity and performance. Data Analysis & Reporting: Develop and maintain STATS files and data structures to deliver financial, regulatory, and operational reports. Heavy use of SQL for analysis and insight generation. Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough QA on all ETL processes and pipelines to guarantee accuracy and reliability. Self-Service Reporting: Enable business users with Power BI self-service tools, including data models and interfaces for easy access and analysis. Collaboration: Partner with the Chief Data Scientist and development team to translate data requirements into actionable solutions. Innovation: Continuously identify and implement improvements to data workflows, reporting, and architecture. Essential Skills & Experience Data Engineering - Demonstrated expertise in designing, building, and optimising ETL pipelines. Cloud Platforms - Practical experience working with Azure and AWS S3 environments. Database & Scripting - Advanced SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, and analysis. Business Intelligence - Proven ability to design data models and build interfaces for BI tools, with a focus on Power BI. Analytical Thinking - Strong problem-solving abilities, with meticulous attention to detail and data accuracy.
