Data Engineer

Data Engineer (Azure / Databricks) | Contract-to-Hire We're looking for a Data Engineer to join a growing data team focused on building reliable, scalable cloud data pipelines supporting critical healthcare data. What You'll Do • Design, build, and maintain data pipelines using Azure, Databricks, Python, and SQL • Develop ETL/ELT processes for large, complex datasets • Investigate data issues, perform root cause analysis, and improve data reliability • Implement data quality checks, validation frameworks, and monitoring • Adapt pipelines to changing vendor data formats and business needs • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver trusted data solutions • Support production environments and contribute to engineering best practices What We're Looking For • 2+ years of Data Engineering experience • Strong Python and SQL skills • Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and cloud data platforms • Experience building and supporting ETL/ELT pipelines • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities • A proactive mindset with a focus on data quality, ownership, and continuous improvement Nice to Have • Healthcare, pharmacy, or claims data experience • Experience with hybrid cloud/on-prem environments • Exposure to Git, CI/CD, Jira, or ServiceNow Why This Role? • Contract-to-hire opportunity • Hands-on cloud engineering work with modern Azure technologies • Opportunity to make a direct impact on data quality and platform modernization • Collaborative team with opportunities to influence engineering best practices The projected hourly range for this position is $80-$90 On-Demand Group (ODG) provides employee benefits which includes healthcare, dental, and vision insurance.
