Job Title: Senior Data Engineer / Software Developer (Data Analytics)
Location: Phoenix, AZ (Hybrid)

Job Summary:
The experienced Software Developer / Data Engineer / Data Scientist to design, develop, and maintain data processing and analytical solutions that support public health initiatives. This role requires strong hands-on expertise in SQL Server, Python-based data processing, automation, and cloud environments, with a focus on handling complex healthcare data formats and ensuring high data quality.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Design, develop, and optimize database solutions using SQL Server, SQL, and T-SQL
β’ Build and maintain data processing and analytical tools using Python and relevant libraries
β’ Ingest, transform, and process data from multiple formats including HL7, XML, JSON, CSV, and EDI
β’ Perform data modeling, data mapping, and transformation to support analytics and reporting needs
β’ Design and implement process automation to improve data workflows and operational efficiency
β’ Work in cloud-based environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) to support scalable data solutions
β’ Ensure data quality, integrity, lifecycle management, and validation across systems
β’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data analytics, reporting, and integration initiatives
β’ Support visualization and reporting solutions using tools such as Power BI (preferred)
Required Qualifications:
β’ 5+ years of experience in software development, data engineering, or data analytics
β’ Strong expertise in SQL Server, SQL, and T-SQL
β’ Strong hands-on experience with Python for data processing and analytics
β’ Experience working with healthcare or structured data formats (HL7, XML, JSON, CSV, EDI)
β’ Proven experience in data modeling, data transformation, and automation
β’ Experience working in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
Preferred Qualifications:
β’ Experience with other RDBMS platforms
β’ Experience in UI development
β’ Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI
β’ Familiarity with data quality and data comparison platforms/tools
Work Arrangement:
β’ Hybrid role β approximately 80% onsite and 20% remote
β’ Candidates must be comfortable working on-site regularly
