Job Description:
We are seeking a Data Engineer to support a short-term M365 project focused on building and orchestrating data pipelines for document ingestion and metadata management. The role involves working with modern data engineering tools to ingest data using Google Vertex, process data from the data lake, and build scalable pipelines for document and metadata processing.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and develop data pipelines to ingest and process documents from the data lake.
• Build and manage metadata pipelines associated with documents.
• Implement data orchestration workflows using Azure Data Factory (ADF).
• Develop data transformation models using dbt.
• Work with Databricks (Unity Catalog) to manage metadata and document storage in the lake.
• Write and maintain Python scripts for data processing and automation.
• Ensure reliable data orchestration, monitoring, and pipeline optimization.
Required Skills (Top 3):
• Azure Data Factory (ADF) – Data orchestration and pipeline management
• dbt (Data Build Tool) – Data transformation and modeling
• Databricks (Unity Catalog) – Metadata and data governance in data lake
• Python – Data processing and automation
Nice to Have:
• Experience with Google Vertex AI for data ingestion
• Experience working with data lakes and document-based data pipelines
• Familiarity with metadata management and governance
