Role description
About the Role: Our organization, serving over 3,600 members, is looking for an experienced Data Engineer to help bridge the gap across multiple key systems and support our rapid growth. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in streamlining data integrations, automating workflows, and managing business intelligenceβ€”enabling our team to operate more efficiently and make data-driven decisions. Key Responsibilities: β€’ Integrate data across Microsoft CRM (for membership), Sage Intacct (accounting), and Riskonnect (claims management) to eliminate manual processes and ensure consistent data quality. β€’ Collaborate with our Sage Intacct consultant and other stakeholders to extend workflows, automate data movement, and continuously assess solution gaps during the system build-out. β€’ Support and maintain Riskonnect, including data maintenance, troubleshooting, and custom report development. β€’ Design and build ETL processes to synchronize data among disparate databases and systems. β€’ Optimize and automate the exchange of information, such as enabling seamless invoice communication from Riskonnect pulling from Sage Intacct. β€’ Develop, maintain, and improve reporting solutions using BI Management and tools such as Power BI. Train and mentor junior staff on basic reporting best practices. β€’ Work with form-building software to automate and integrate insurance-related forms into core processes. β€’ Troubleshoot data issues, document data flows, and ensure high-quality data governance and compliance practices. β€’ Participate in onsite meetings and system reviews three days a week (potentially increasing to five as required). Qualifications: β€’ Proven experience as a Data Engineer (or similar role) integrating complex systems and automating processes. β€’ Experience with Microsoft CRM, Sage Intacct, and Riskonnect highly preferred; experience in the insurance or membership sector a plus. β€’ Hands-on expertise with ETL tools, database management and system integrations (APIs, middleware, custom scripts). β€’ Strong proficiency in business intelligence and reporting using Power BI or comparable platforms. β€’ Experience in process automation, workflow optimization, and working with form builder applications. β€’ Excellent troubleshooting and data validation skills. β€’ Strong collaboration, communication, and mentoring skills. β€’ Willingness and ability to work onsite at least three days a week; must be local or able to reliably commute.
