Position: Lead Data Engineer 12 Months Contract (Inside ir35) London/Hybrid What we’re looking for: β€’ Proven leadership in developing and guiding data engineering platforms β€’ Hands-on expertise with Hadoop, Spark, and Splunk β€’ Strong scripting skills in Python, with experience handling raw, structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data (SQL and NoSQL) β€’ Experience integrating large datasets using modern tools and frameworks β€’ Ability to build and optimize robust ETL/ELT data pipelines β€’ Familiarity with source control and implementing CI/CD pipelines β€’ Experience supporting BI and Analytics teams within fast-paced environments β€’ Collaborative mindset with the ability to pair program and work effectively with other engineers β€’ Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities β€’ Knowledge of agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban is a plus β€’ Commitment to high-quality code, including creating technical test plans and maintaining automated tests β€’ Passion for promoting Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices ensuring service resilience and sustainability Soft Skills: β€’ Strong communication and active listening skills β€’ Enthusiasm for enhancing team performance β€’ Self-motivated with a focus on professional growth and continuous learning β€’ Up-to-date with current technologies and regulatory considerations such as cybersecurity, data privacy, and data residency
