Position: Lead Data Engineer
12 Months Contract (Inside ir35)
London/Hybrid
What weβre looking for:
β’ Proven leadership in developing and guiding data engineering platforms
β’ Hands-on expertise with Hadoop, Spark, and Splunk
β’ Strong scripting skills in Python, with experience handling raw, structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data (SQL and NoSQL)
β’ Experience integrating large datasets using modern tools and frameworks
β’ Ability to build and optimize robust ETL/ELT data pipelines
β’ Familiarity with source control and implementing CI/CD pipelines
β’ Experience supporting BI and Analytics teams within fast-paced environments
β’ Collaborative mindset with the ability to pair program and work effectively with other engineers
β’ Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
β’ Knowledge of agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban is a plus
β’ Commitment to high-quality code, including creating technical test plans and maintaining automated tests
β’ Passion for promoting Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices ensuring service resilience and sustainability
Soft Skills:
β’ Strong communication and active listening skills
β’ Enthusiasm for enhancing team performance
