Role description
Job Title: Sr. Data Engineer Location: Cleveland, OH Structure: 6 Contract-to-Hire Pay: Depending on Experience Client: A global leader in paints and coatings Job Description: Brooksource is in search of a Sr. Data Engineer to support a major data modernization journey, transforming how our client leverages data and AI to drive innovation across there R&D, supply chain, marketing, and operations groups. They’re building a domain-driven design environment that empowers teams to deliver scalable, high-quality data solutions. As a Data Engineer on our Data Science & AI team, you’ll play a critical role in architecting and maintaining the pipelines and platforms that fuel advanced analytics and machine learning. Key Responsibilities: β€’ Design, develop, and maintain modern, cloud-based data pipelines to integrate structured and unstructured data from multiple domains. β€’ Implement domain-driven design principles to ensure data models align with business context and scalability needs. β€’ Ensure data quality, governance, and security across all stages of the pipeline. β€’ Collaborate with data scientists, AI engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver clean, reliable datasets for predictive modeling and advanced analytics. β€’ Optimize data storage and retrieval in Azure and AWS environments to support real-time and batch processing. β€’ Support AI/ML model deployment through APIs and automated workflows. Qualifications: β€’ Proficiency in Python, SQL, and big data frameworks (Spark, Hadoop). β€’ Experience with Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, and modern data architecture patterns. β€’ Familiarity with domain-driven design and event-driven data pipelines. β€’ Hands-on experience with Snowflake and Databricks for data warehousing and advanced analytics. β€’ Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance best practices. β€’ Strong collaboration skills and ability to work in an agile, cross-functional environment.
