Data Engineer/Analyst

Data Engineer/Analyst (Hybrid) Primary Location: Ohio V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a Data Engineer/Analyst for our premier client in Ohio. Education And Experience » • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in data engineering and/or data analysis roles. • Experience with relational databases, data warehouses, and reporting tools. • Strong knowledge of SQL, ETL processes, and data integration techniques. • Proficiency in BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) and data visualization best practices. • Familiarity with scripting languages (Python preferred) for data manipulation. • Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance principles. • Ability to analyze complex datasets and communicate insights effectively. • Comfortable in front of operational data consumers with experience conveying complex data, and data concepts, for clarity and understanding. What You’ll Do Job Responsibilities: Data Integration & Pipeline Development • Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources into centralized repositories. • Implement APIs and web services for data exchange between systems. • Ensure data quality, reliability, and security throughout the data lifecycle. Data Modeling & Storage Optimization: • Create and maintain logical and physical data models to support efficient storage and retrieval. • Optimize database performance and scalability for reporting and analytics. Data Analysis & Visualization: • Query and analyze large datasets using SQL and other tools to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies. • Develop interactive dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms. • Provide actionable insights to support data-driven decision-making across departments. Collaboration & Support: • Work closely with IT teams, business units, and stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions. • Provide training and guidance on data tools, dashboards, and best practices. Governance & Documentation: • Implement data governance standards for accuracy, security, and compliance. • Prepare technical documentation and maintain periodic data quality checks. Problem Resolution & Continuous Improvement: • Investigate and resolve data-related issues across systems and pipelines. • Recommend and implement improvements to enhance data accessibility and reporting capabilities.
