Role Type: Contract Location: Atlanta, GA (In-person interview and periodic on-site meetings required) Sesheng LLC is seeking a highly technical Engineering Project Lead to join our enterprise delivery team in Atlanta. This is not a traditional Project Management or Scrum Master role; it is a "player-coach" position designed for a seasoned engineer who can bridge the gap between high-level strategy and hands-on execution. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership, oversee delivery quality from distributed teams, and serve as a primary engineering consultant to the corporate project management office. Key Responsibilities 1. Technical Delivery & Distributed Team Management • Act as the primary technical liaison between near-shore/off-shore engineering teams and the corporate project manager. • Perform rigorous code and work product reviews to ensure all deliverables meet enterprise standards. • Drive accountability for the performance, quality, and timeliness of distributed teams. • Proactively escalate technical risks or resource constraints to the corporate project manager. 1. Hands-on Engineering Support • Provide direct engineering support for interim projects and high-priority technical tasks. • Maintain a "hands-on" approach, assisting the team with complex troubleshooting or architectural implementation as required. • Lead the definition, development, and execution of advanced AI and automation initiatives. 1. Engineering Thought Leadership • Partner with the corporate team to identify and explore process improvements, specifically leveraging modern AI and automation capabilities within existing data platforms. • Spearhead "research spikes" to evaluate new technologies. • Inject cross-industry managed operations expertise to modernize legacy workflows. 1. Knowledge Transfer & Vendor Transition • Lead the organization and execution of knowledge transfer (KT) sessions during vendor transitions. • Deeply analyze existing documentation and environments to build a comprehensive understanding of the corporate ecosystem and stakeholder needs. • Challenge "status quo" practices to ensure the transition results in optimized operations. 1. Continuous Improvement Partnership • Collaborate with corporate leadership to identify ongoing opportunities for efficiency gains. • Translate high-level business goals into detailed technical requirements for the engineering teams to execute. • Participate in regular in-person strategy and planning meetings at the Atlanta corporate office. Technical Qualifications • Core Expertise: Strong background in Data Engineering, Software Engineering, and AI/Automation. • Platform Proficiency: Working knowledge of Databricks, dbt, AWS, MWAA, and Kubernetes. • Subject Matter Expertise: Must demonstrate deep, expert-level proficiency in at least two of the platforms listed above. • Leadership: Proven experience leading technical teams and managing complex engineering lifecycles. Special Requirements • Location: Candidates must be based in or willing to commute to Atlanta, GA. • Interview Process: Candidates must be available for an in-person interview in Atlanta, GA. • Schedule: Support is required during normal business hours.
