Data Extraction Engineer

We are seeking a specialized engineer with hands‑on experience extracting, normalizing, and processing message‑level data from enterprise communication systems including Gmail, Google Drive, Slack, Zoom, and Google Calendar. This role supports legal, compliance, and e‑discovery workflows. About the Role Data Extraction Engineer (GCP) Location: USA or Canada Type: months Contract Responsibilities • Extract message‑level data from Gmail (threads, attachments, metadata, MIME parsing, deduplication). • Extract mailbox‑style attachments and message objects from Google Drive. • Extract Slack threads, replies, attachments, and metadata using Slack API. • Extract Zoom meeting metadata, chat logs, and Calendar event data. • Build pipelines to normalize, deduplicate, and flatten message data. • Implement OCR pipelines for PDFs, TIFF, PNG using Vision API / Textract / Tesseract. • Convert all extracted data into searchable CSV datasets for legal BOT systems. • Build ingestion workflows using Python, Airflow, Cloud Composer, GCS, BigQuery. • Ensure compliance, chain‑of‑custody, and auditability of extracted data. Required Experience • Hands‑on experience with Gmail API, Slack API, Google Drive API, Calendar API, Zoom API. • Experience with message‑level extraction, thread reconstruction, and deduplication. • Experience with OCR pipelines (Vision API, Textract, Tesseract). • Strong Python engineering background. • Experience building ingestion pipelines on GCP (GCS, BigQuery, Composer). • Experience supporting legal, compliance, or e‑discovery workflows. Nice to Have • Experience with Relativity, Everlaw, Logikcull, DISCO, Casepoint, OpenText, Exterro. • Experience with digital forensics or enterprise messaging extraction.
