Job Title: Data Governance Analyst β BSA/AML Support
Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid, 3 days onsite)
Duration: 12 Months Contract
Pay Rate: $60-62/hr W2 ONLY, NO C2C
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Data Governance Analyst to provide direct support to the BSA/AML Program within the Commercial Banking & Lending Data Governance & Data Management Metadata Team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of technical proficiency, data management knowledge, and regulatory compliance experience to support documentation, analysis, and quality assurance efforts related to metadata, data lineage, and data quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Document use case inventories, data elements, and metadata including Approved Data Sources (ADS) and Systems of Record (SOR)
β’ Evaluate and benchmark data quality metrics and audits
β’ Identify data integrity issues and recommend quality checks or control enhancements
β’ Perform gap analyses and recommend process or control remediation's
β’ Document new data sources and develop assessments for new data quality
β’ Support testing, QA, and requirements gathering for regulatory and risk-related initiatives
β’ Assist with regulatory compliance reporting and governance standards enforcement
β’ Utilize metadata tools such as Collibra or ADMF for lineage and data governance initiatives
Required Skills & Qualifications:
β’ Advanced Excel: VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables
β’ Strong technical writing and documentation skills
β’ Experience in data governance/data management concepts and frameworks
β’ Excellent communication skills β both written and verbal
β’ Complex data analysis and validation experience
β’ Metadata and data lineage understanding
β’ Working knowledge of data quality metrics and remediation
β’ Familiarity with BSA/AML reporting, compliance, and regulatory requirements
Preferred Experience:
β’ Experience with metadata tools (e.g., Collibra, ADMF)
β’ Familiarity with data analysis tools like Alteryx
β’ Knowledge of data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau)
β’ Commercial Lending product knowledge
β’ Exposure to regulatory risk management frameworks
β’ Experience in Corporate Risk, Audit, or Independent Testing
β’ Moderate skills in SQL or Python
β’ Familiarity with JIRA, SharePoint, and project tracking tools
β’ Understanding of data security protocols and regulatory compliance standards
