Position: Data Governance Analyst ( Collibra)
Location: Mclean, VA/ Richmond VA
Job Description
HR is seeking a detail-oriented Process Manager to join the Data Governance (DG) Team. This role ensures HR dataβincluding External Data Shares (XDSs)βis well-managed and compliant with internal data policies by working closely with Risk, HR teams, and People Technology.
The Process Manager will lead day-to-day governance processes, data and risk projects, and support product development and OKRs, including efforts around audits and regulatory remediation.
Success in this role requires strong communication, process documentation, attention to detail, cross-team coordination, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. This is a strong opportunity to grow in Process Management and Data Governance.
General Responsibilities:
β’ Build/ enhance HR Data Governance & Management knowledge
β’ Learn about HRβs Data Domains/ Experience Teams and their data landscape
β’ Support Data Governance special projects (e.g., retention, enhancing DQ/ data security, etc.)
β’ Document key DG processes by creating and maintaining Procedures/ Job Aids to ensure Business Continuity
β’ Support Data Audit and MRA remediation, where applicable
β’ Partner with Risk and various 1st and 2nd-line Oversight Teams to support joint-initiatives and projects
β’ Support Data Mgmt. activities: data registration, Metadata Data Quality (MDQ) metrics remediation, data usage registration, and related
β’ Partner and support the People Data Platform (PDP) Performing Data Steward (PDS), as needed
β’ Craft presentations for Leadership, when needed
β’ Draft and test Data Management Controls to mitigate risks
β’ Help address any Effective Challenges from 2nd-line
β’ Act as Data Governance SME to support PDP data onboarding/ ADS (Additional Data Sources) work and product development
β’ Serve as trusted advisor on Data-related questions/ guidelines
Basic Qualifications:
β’ Bachelorβs Degree or military experience
β’ At least 5 years of experience using Microsoft Office or G-Suite
β’ At least 2 years of experience in Data Governance or Risk Management
β’ At least 3 years of Process Management experience
Preferred Qualifications:
β’ Lean, Agile, Six Sigma, Business Process Management, or Project Management certification
β’ Familiarity w/ Agile Methodology and Jira
β’ At least 4 years of experience in Data Governance
β’ At least 4 years of experience in Process Management
