Contract Duration: 24 Months We are seeking a Data Governance Analyst - Metadata & Catalog to support enterprise data governance initiatives focused on metadata management, lineage documentation, and data catalog adoption. This individual will partner directly with business and technical stakeholders to identify data sources, document transformations, capture security classifications, and map end-state data usage across the organization. Key Responsibilities: • Capture metadata for enterprise data assets and systems • Document source-to-target data lineage and transformations • Maintain data catalog records using GitHub and governance tools • Partner with stakeholders to understand data flows and controls • Document security classifications, ownership, and usage policies • Help educate business users on catalog processes and governance standards • Support data quality, audit readiness, and governance initiatives • Drive adoption of metadata best practices across teams Required Skills: • Strong understanding of data governance / metadata management • Experience with GitHub for documentation, version control, workflow collaboration • Data lineage / source-to-target mapping experience • Strong SQL / data analysis background • Excellent client-facing communication skills • Ability to gather requirements and translate into clear documentation • Experience in banking / regulated environment preferred
