Data Governance Analyst

Data Governance Analyst - Contract - Inside IR35 - 6 months rolling A golbal financial services company is looking for a Data governance analyst to come in and assist with the following: Assist with formalising a data management programme within the firm • Establishing a Data Governance Council to oversee the programme and provide direction • Establishing Data Champions and data ownership in the business • Establishing a formal records management schedule • Defining data quality standards and data retention periods • Promoting data governance adoption across the firm Expand & extend the firm’s enterprise data model & controls • Define and document data definitions, business glossaries, metadata & data lineage • Implement detective data quality controls on key data sets and establish monitoring/remediation with the business • Support and develop tooling related to data cataloguing, data quality and data management practices Skills & Experience • Ability to analyse data issues and communicate recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical audiences • Strong documentation, organisation, and stakeholder management skills • Experience working with data governance or data cataloguing tools, particularly OpenMetaData and related extensions. • Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server, Power BI and Databricks is essential • Experience of Python, as well as data analysis frameworks and tools, would be desirable If this sounds like one for you then please apply with your up to date CV and I will be in touch.
