Role description
Work Location Hybrid, 3 days onsite (Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays) and 2 days remote (Mondays and Wednesdays). Office Location: 701 W 51st St, Austin, TX 78751 Candidates must be local to Austin, TX or surrounding areas. • • Job Description We are currently seeking a contract Data Governance Engineer to be a key resource on a technical services team for our client, the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC). Responsibilities Level Description 8 or more years of experience, relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, independently performs a variety of complicated tasks, a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Job Description Understands business objectives and problems, identifies alternative solutions, performs studies and cost/benefit analysis of alternatives. Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing computer system: Confers with personnel of organizational units involved to analyze current operational procedures, identify problems, and learn specific input and output requirements, such as forms of data input, how data is to be; summarized, and formats for reports. Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer program. Reviews computer system capabilities, specifications, and scheduling limitations to determine if requested program or program change is possible within existing system. Additional job details and special considerations Contractor will support Data Engineering and Data Governance work in SHARP. Qualifications Minimum Requirements: 10 years of: • Experience using Informatica tools including Powercenter, IICS, IDMC, MDM, Axon, EDC, IDQ, Customer360, Supplier360, Entity360, • Experience establishing Master Data and Reference data for large organizations. Experience with Informatica MDM is preferred. • Experience implementing data quality rules using Informatica DQ. Preferred: 4 years of: • Experience working with enterprise scale data sets in Snowflake. • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a similar field. Equivalent work experience can be substituted. Masters degree or 6+ years experience preferred. 2 years of: • Experience in healthcare or Public Health preferred. • Experience at a state agency preferred. • Experience with Python scripts for automation and interaction with APIs.
