Job Description: Data Governance Engineering Analyst II Location: Houston, TX Work Arrangement: Hybrid Need local to Houston, TX Department: New team, Data Governance Enbridge has good framework that is already in place for data governance nature of team, they are involved in front end of asset build on the front end (they name some of the pipelines) : Key Responsibilities: • SharePoint maintenance - large basis and lists they have and metrics they have are SharePoint based - • technical writing - in charge of keeping documents accurate. • working with GIS, asset management, work with engineering drawings teams, and work with specs and standards to review overlaps. • each day is going to be different. • training data governance - first several weeks is showing them their frameworks that Enbridge uses, familiarizing them with how the asset information flows from one team to another (work with 6 teams) they use and share a lot of data in the asset management lifecycle. • collaborate with stakeholders and how data is transferred and work with Jack to map that data. • work with a lot of ERP work order side and GIS side. • technical writing, process flow mapping, procedure overviews. etc. • Power BI - pulling data and tracking metrics (when people request a name for a pipeline, they go through SharePoint to make those requests) • working with Excel. Qualifications: • looking for a data governance specialist and/or business analyst (non-technical) - NOT LOOKING FOR TECHNICAL BUSINESS ANALYST • bachelor's degree, need someone with 2+ years' experience • job titles on resumes that are attractive: Business Analyst (functional) - not looking for someone with experience doing IT implementation projects, need someone more functional or Data Governance Specialist/Analyst • must have excellent communications • can interact with some stakeholders who may give some pushback • oil & gas preferred regarding asset data (valve diameters, pipe setting, etc.) regarding regulation requirements • experience with prior data governance like collebra, odonis, etc. is beneficial in this role • prior workflow mapping experience is preferred • does not want a GIS Analyst - this role will require more needs regarding collaboration that they might not be interested in because they do not have that experience • someone in data management type roles would be a good fit • need to know what 'nomenclature' means - will help to manage some procedures. Preferred Skills: • Experience with pipeline asset management systems, GIS platforms, and records management tools. • SharePoint design/management experience; ability to build workflows and forms using PowerApps. • Experience creating dashboards and reports in Power BI. • Knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM) principles in asset-centric environments. • Strong problem-solving skills with high attention to detail, especially when working with safety-critical infrastructure data.
