Role description
The Intersect Group is seeking a strategic and hands-on Data Governance & Operations Lead to drive enterprise-wide data integrity, streamline business processes, and empower a team of data stewards. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of data strategy, operational excellence, and team leadership. Duration: 6-12 month contract (No C2C or third-party submissions) Location: Fully remote but ideally looking for someone in Florida or at minimum EST zone Interview Process: 2 virtual interviews most likely Needs: • Proven experience in data governance, data management, or business operations. • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in tools like SQL, Excel, and data visualization platforms. • Hands-on experience working with Microsoft Dynamics CRM data, including schema understanding, data integration, and quality assurance. • Experience implementing business process improvements and automation solutions. • Excellent communication and leadership skills with a track record of coaching teams. • Familiarity with data governance tools and frameworks (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, DAMA DMBOK). • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field (Master’s preferred). Duties: • Establish and lead data governance frameworks to ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance across systems and teams. • Design and implement scalable business processes that support data lifecycle management and operational efficiency. • Analyze operational data to uncover insights, trends, and opportunities for process improvement. • Identify and automate data validation workflows to reduce manual effort and improve accuracy. • Coach and mentor a team of data stewards, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning. • Collaborate cross-functionally with IT, analytics, compliance, and business units to align data initiatives with organizational goals. • Monitor and report on data governance KPIs, driving transparency and continuous improvement.
