Role description
Role: Data Governance Specialist
Location: Sacramento, CA β Hybrid [Local Only]
Mandatory Qualification
β’ The Data Governance Specialist shall have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in data governance.
β’ The Data Governance Specialist shall have experience conducting project readiness assessments for a minimum of one (1) data monitoring system implementations within California public sector agencies or law enforcement organizations.
β’ The Data Governance Specialist shall have proven expertise in developing procurement strategies for a minimum of one (1) technology modernization initiative involving data collection and reporting systems for a California state entity.
β’ The Data Governance Specialist shall have experience designing and implementing data strategy and data governance frameworks for a minimum of one (1) large California state entity, including the development of policies, standards, and processes to ensure data quality, security, and regulatory compliance.
β’ The Data Governance Specialist shall have a bachelorβs degree in an IT-related field. The Offeror shall attach a copy of the degree
Desired Qualifications:
β’ The Data Governance Specialist shall have experience with: 1) creating and completing a minimum of two (2) Requests for Proposals, and 2) developing system requirements for a minimum of two (2) large-scale IT solutions, with a minimum of one (1) engagement involving law enforcement-specific requirements.
β’ The Data Governance Specialist shall have experience with: 1) creating and completing a minimum of two (2) Requests for Proposals, and 2) developing system requirements for a minimum of two (2) large-scale IT solutions, with a minimum of one (1) engagement involving law enforcement-specific requirements.
β’ The Data Governance Specialist shall have experience providing evaluation and selection assistance for a minimum of two (2) large-scale IT solutions for State of California departments within the past five (5) years.
β’ The Data Governance Specialist shall have current Certified Data Governance Professional certification.
β’ The Data Governance Specialist shall have current Certified Data Management Professional certification.
β’ The Data Governance Specialist shall have current data governance-related professional certification(s).
β’ The Data Governance Specialist shall have an advanced degree (masterβs or PhD) in an IT-related field.
β’ The Data Governance Specialist shall have an advanced degree in Data Analytics, Information Technology Management, or a related field.
