Role Impact As a Data Insights Engineer, you’ll serve as a bridge between technical and business stakeholders, transforming data into compelling visual narratives. You’ll apply critical thinking and design sensibility to build dashboards that drive decision-making. This role offers ownership of end-to-end projects, cross-functional collaboration, and modernization of existing analytics tools—all within a supportive, growth-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities • Dashboard Ownership: Take over existing visualization projects, enhance legacy code, and evolve them into impactful tools. • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with internal teams to gather requirements, manage priorities, and communicate trade-offs effectively. • Data Storytelling: Translate complex data into intuitive dashboards that reveal trends and support strategic decisions. • Project Execution: Work independently within agile sprints, proactively seek support when needed, and deliver on commitments. • Data Quality: Use SQL to conduct ad hoc analyses and identify inconsistencies in datasets. • Best Practices: Share expertise in visualization, design thinking, and SQL to elevate team capabilities. Ideal Candidate Profile • Analytical & Resilient: Comfortable navigating ambiguity and skilled at deriving insights from messy data. • Clear Communicator: Able to simplify complex findings and address competing priorities with transparency. • Design-Oriented: Experienced in data visualization (2–3+ years) with a portfolio showcasing user-friendly dashboards. • SQL Proficiency: Strong command of relational databases and efficient query writing. • Self-Directed: Manages time effectively, keeps projects on track, and actively seeks feedback. • Collaborative: Values teamwork and knowledge sharing. Required Qualifications • 2–3+ years of experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker) and advanced SQL skills. • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders and communicate prioritization decisions. • Experience maintaining or refactoring legacy dashboards or codebases. • Strong visual design skills and storytelling ability. • Excellent written and verbal communication. Preferred Qualifications • Background in statistics or data science. • Familiarity with user experience (UX) principles.
