Role description
Looking for a Data Logging Engineer- Onsite- Plano TX accepting on W2 candidates, No C2C candidates Shift: Weekend shift only (Friday–Tuesday, 9:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.) We’re seeking a Data Logging Engineer to perform system-level log captures and analysis across 4G/5G network elements, troubleshoot performance issues, and support commercial network stability. This position requires strong analytical and scripting skills, basic Linux/Unix knowledge, and the ability to thrive in a rotating 24/7 support environment. Key Responsibilities • Capture and analyze logs on 4G/5G network elements to identify root causes of issues. • Perform KPI degradation analysis to quantify/qualify problems. • Automate log analysis using Python, Shell, or Perl scripting. • Document troubleshooting steps and maintain technical documentation. • Conduct audits (parameters, signatures, SW/firmware) and support patch/software upgrades. • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to drive resolutions. • Provide ticket updates and clear communication to internal/external teams. • Participate in 24/7 on-call support rotation for outages and critical issues. Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Telecom, Network Engineering, or related field. • 2+ years of wireless telecom experience (or equivalent project/academic work for new grads). • Basic knowledge of UNIX/Linux systems. • Hands-on scripting skills (Python, Shell, Perl). • Strong communication & documentation skills. • Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). • Willingness to work weekends, rotating shifts, and occasional nights. Preferred Qualifications • Knowledge of 4G/5G network architecture, RAN protocols, and eNB interfaces (S1-MME, S1-U). • Familiarity with ticketing systems and knowledge management tools.
