Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled data-focused consultant to support a targeted analysis and remediation effort within Wells Fargoβs enterprise data systems. The ideal candidate will possess deep SQL expertise, solid data architecture understanding, and strong analytical problem-solving skills. This role involves designing alternative data delivery methods, optimizing database queries, and working cross-functionally with business and technical teams to drive data efficiency and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze users accessing MARS and CORS systems who do not have MCRM access.
Document use cases and develop actionable recommendations for improved data access.
Build alternative paths for information delivery leveraging existing data tools and pipelines.
Optimize SQL query performance and reduce database load to improve system efficiency.
Provide detailed feedback to users on query behavior and best practices.
Recommend migration strategies for non-critical users away from production databases.
Design, develop, and maintain SQL code from scratch while understanding underlying database architecture.
Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gather data requirements and create JIRA stories.
Manage multiple projects concurrently and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both business executives and technical teams.
Required Skills:
Expert-level SQL knowledge and database design skills.
Proficiency in Python for data processing, analytics, and automation.
Hands-on experience in data architecture, database re-engineering, and ETL processes.
Ability to analyze and interpret large datasets and deliver actionable insights.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially when working with SMEs and executives.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Preferred / Bonus Skills:
Familiarity with capital markets or financial services environments.
Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
Knowledge of Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
Background in data governance, data quality, and data management practices.
