Role description
Some key information • This is a hybrid post with minimum of 1 day per week in the office (County Hall), 23 hours per week preferably over 5 days (Monday – Friday), between 08:00-18:00 (some flexibility around the days/hours - to be agreed). • 25 days' leave pro rata (in addition to Bank Holiday adjusted hours) • Fixed term contract until 31/12/2026 to cover Maternity Leave (possibly sooner, depending on when the substantive employee returns). What will I be doing? We’re working to improve the lives of Children in Somerset – and you’ll be a key part of that. Your day-to-day work will involve: • Following up and investigating data differences with Education providers and colleagues in Somerset Education Services. • Working alongside Children’s Education Services teams to meet Statutory deadlines for Admissions and Entitlements • Supporting termly School Census and other statutory returns by liaising with Schools and Education Service professionals • Offering guidance and support to Capita One users What kind of experience or qualifications do I need? We offer ongoing support, training and guidance to help you be the best you can be. But it will really help if you: • Posses good ICT skills with experience using Microsoft Office 365 and Comfortable with using Database software. • Have the ability to follow processes, guidance and other instructions and also contribute to the ongoing review and development of process, procedure and guidance. • Have excellent attention to detail to maintain a high level of accuracy to ensure good data quality. • Possess strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a fast-paced workload and multiple deadlines.
