Role description
Responsibilities:
- Participate in the planning and execution of Oracle database migrations from on-premises to cloud environments.
- Assist in configuring and managing Oracle Database migration and setup of the Oracle Exadata environments
Collaboration and Coordination:
- Work closely, daily syncs and working sessions with the offshore team to support project objectives and timelines.
- Contribute to project meetings, providing technical input and updates on migration progress.
Project Execution:
- Implement Oracle Database Migrations steps including testing processes, focusing on migration, administration, and upgrade activities.
- Ensure data security and compliance with client-required industry standards during the migration process.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare detailed technical documentation and reports as needed.
- Assist in tracking project deliverables and timelines.
Travel Requirements:
- Occasional travel within the United States for on-site client workshops and meetings as needed.
- Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold the firm’s respectful and courteous work environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in Oracle Database Administration, focusing on migrations to cloud
- Good knowledge of Oracle Exadata.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team.
- Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold the firm's respectful and courteous work environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with Public Cloud like OCI, GCP, AWS, Azure, Oracle Zero Downtime Migration (ZDM) and Oracle GoldenGate.
