Role description
We are partnering with a leading enterprise healthcare organization to hire a Patient Services Data Operations Analyst / Manager.
This is a high-impact opportunity to shape how patient data is governed, protected, and leveraged across critical platforms.
In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring high-quality, compliant, and trusted patient data—directly supporting patient-centric programs and operational excellence.
Location & Schedule
• Location: Mettawa, IL
• Schedule: Hybrid (Tuesday–Thursday onsite)
This role sits within a Patient Services Platform Enablement and Operations function, focusing on data governance, quality, and compliance for patient-facing systems. You will work cross-functionally with business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure strong stewardship and optimization of sensitive healthcare data.
Key Responsibilities
• Act as the primary liaison for data governance initiatives related to patient services platforms
• Drive data governance processes including stewardship, metadata management, and data quality
• Develop and maintain governance policies, standards, and documentation
• Lead Critical Data Element (CDE) reviews and patient data quality assessments
• Manage and enhance data catalog and business glossary efforts
• Track and analyze governance metrics to ensure compliance and adoption
• Collaborate with stakeholders across business and IT teams to improve data workflows
• Provide training and support to promote effective governance practices
• Partner with vendors and platform teams to optimize patient data assets
• Support reporting, presentations, and ongoing governance program updates
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in data governance, data stewardship, or data quality
• Experience working with healthcare, pharma, or regulated patient data environments
• Strong understanding of data governance frameworks and best practices
• Hands-on experience with governance tools such as Collibra, Alation, or Informatica
• Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools (Power BI or Tableau)
• Experience with patient systems such as CRM, case management, or support platforms
• Knowledge of data privacy regulations such as HIPAA
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
• Experience implementing governance in patient support or engagement platforms
• Exposure to metadata management and business glossary development
• Background in operational analytics or reporting
• Experience influencing cross-functional teams without direct authority
• Familiarity with automation of governance processes
