Data Mapping Analyst
Location: San Antonio, Texas (Onsite)
Role Overview
An opportunity is available for a Data Mapping Analyst to support data integration, campaign enablement, and enterprise data initiatives. This individual will serve as a liaison between business and technical teams, translating business requirements into detailed data mapping specifications to ensure data integrity and quality across systems. The position requires proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases and data structures.
Key Responsibilities
• Translate business needs into detailed source-to-target mapping documentation.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive, version-controlled source-to-target mappings.
• Utilize SQL to query, analyze, validate, and troubleshoot data across multiple data sources.
• Perform data profiling to understand source system structures, identify quality issues, and inform mapping decisions.
• Investigate and resolve data discrepancies, integrity issues, and data quality concerns.
• Analyze complex data structures and relationships within enterprise systems.
• Collaborate with development teams during implementation and testing to support data integration efforts.
• Contribute to data governance initiatives by adhering to data management and lineage standards.
• Connect business needs with technical implementation through clear documentation for data integrity.
• Support customer communication and campaign management initiatives.
Required Qualifications
• 3+ years of experience in data analysis, data mapping, or data integration.
• Proficient in SQL for data querying, analysis, and validation.
• Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, Teradata, Snowflake, or SQL Server.
• Familiarity with ETL concepts, data movement processes, and system integrations.
• Demonstrated ability in analyzing complex data structures and relationships.
• Skilled in investigating and resolving data discrepancies and quality issues.
• Experience creating source-to-target mapping documentation.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical data mapping specifications.
• Effective interpersonal skills for cross-functional teamwork.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with campaign generation tools such as Adobe Campaign, Unica, Marketo, or Salesforce Data Cloud (D360).
• Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and data lineage practices.
• Experience in financial services, insurance, or other regulated environments.
• Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies.
