Job Title: Data Change / Delivery Lead – Azure Fabric Migration
Location: Leeds (Hybrid working)
Rate: £552 per day (Inside IR35)
Contract Duration: 6 months
Start Date: ASAP
Special Conditions: Some travel or weekend support may be required
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Data Change / Delivery Lead with over 10 years of experience to take end-to-end ownership of a major data migration programme from on-premise Oracle systems to Azure Microsoft Fabric.
This role will play a critical part in modernising the organisation’s data platform, enabling scalable analytics, improved governance, and enhanced business insight capabilities. You will lead the migration strategy and delivery across a modern cloud data ecosystem, working with senior stakeholders and cross-functional technical teams to ensure successful transformation and adoption.
This is an opportunity to lead a high-impact cloud data transformation programme within a complex enterprise environment, working with cutting-edge Microsoft Fabric technology.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead end-to-end data migration and change delivery from on-premise Oracle systems to Azure Microsoft Fabric.
• Define and own the migration strategy, roadmap, execution plan, cutover approach, and decommissioning activities.
• Manage cross-functional teams across data engineering, modelling, governance, testing, and business SMEs.
• Oversee delivery across Medallion Architecture layers (Bronze, Silver, Gold).
• Drive governance standards for data quality, reconciliation, lineage, and audit readiness.
• Act as the primary interface between business stakeholders, architects, and delivery teams.
• Identify and manage delivery risks, dependencies, and issues, ensuring timely resolution.
• Lead change management activities to support business readiness and adoption.
• Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, security, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide clear reporting on milestones, KPIs, and overall delivery status to senior leadership.
Key Skills and Experience
• Strong experience leading data migration and change delivery from on-premise Oracle platforms to Azure Microsoft Fabric.
• Experience supporting and delivering cloud data platforms, preferably Microsoft Fabric.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, Medallion Architecture, and analytics ecosystems.
• Proven stakeholder management experience across technical and business audiences.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills.
• Experience operating within regulated or enterprise environments is desirable.
