Data Migration Analyst will be responsible for supporting data reconciliation, migration, and integrity efforts during the Carriage’s system transition and platform upgrades. This role will work cross-functionally to ensure accurate data transferring, secure data handling, and compliance with legal, IT and regulatory standards throughout the migration process.
Compensation: $30-35+ per hour (Depends on Experience)
Job Type: Contract (2-3 months) (No Agences or third party)
Location: 3040 Post Oak Blvd. Houston Tx (Galleria Area)
Key Responsibilities
• Analyze and reconcile data across legacy and target systems to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
• Work closely with IT and Legal and third-party vendors to support data migration efforts.
• Assist migrating legacy contracts from legacy systems drives onto the new program.
• Develop, maintain, and execute data mapping and data validation aligned with project requirements.
• Identify and resolve data discrepancies between systems, proactively escalating risks to key stakeholders.
• Collaborate on the design and execution of data migration strategies for both structured and unstructured data.
• Support Legal and IT departments need for records management and contract data during migration.
• Ensure adherence to data privacy, security, and retention policies during migration.
Required Skills And Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Management, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in data reconciliation, migration, or data analysis, preferably within IT or Legal environments.
• Familiarity with legal systems (e.g., contract management systems, matter management, document management) is a plus.
• Experience with data migration tools
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working within law firms, corporate legal departments, or compliance teams.
• Experience supporting IT system migrations, particularly ERP, CRM, or legal platforms.
