Data Migration Engineer Your responsibilities: Legacy Analysis & Design • Analyse Oracle schemas, procedures, packages, triggers, and dependencies. • Perform source-to-target mapping and impact analysis. • Define migration strategy (full load, delta, logical, physical). • Document transformation logic and exceptions. Migration Build & Execution • Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Data Pump, pgloader, SQL, Python/Bash, or cloud DMS tools. • Execute full and incremental loads. • Validate data accuracy, referential integrity, and reconciliation results. • Maintain playbooks, runbooks, rollback plans, and technical documentation. AI-Enhanced Engineering • Use AI tools to analyse PL/SQL logic, auto-generate mappings, and accelerate documentation. • Apply AI/ML for data profiling, anomaly detection, and automated quality checks. • Use LLM-based assistants for SQL optimisation, code conversion, and metadata extraction. • Build AI-powered dashboards and automated reporting. Governance & Reporting • Ensure compliance with data security and governance standards. • Provide migration progress dashboards, issue logs, and reconciliation reports. Your Profile Essential skills/knowledge/experience: Desirable skills/knowledge/experience: • Strong SQL / PL-SQL and Oracle fundamentals. • Experience with ETL/ELT development and data migration tooling. • Working knowledge of Python or Bash for automation. • Familiarity with cloud migration tools (AWS/Azure/GCP DMS). • Experience using AI/LLM tools for data analysis, documentation, or automation.
