Data Migration Lead
2+ year contract, 3 days/week Hybrid
Summary
We are seeking an experienced Data Migration Lead to drive a multi‑year ERP transformation initiative consolidating multiple legacy systems into a modern SAP S/4HANA environment. This role will lead end‑to‑end data migration activities, data quality remediation, governance processes, and cross‑functional alignment to ensure clean, accurate, and trusted data at go‑live. You will play a key role in defining strategy, establishing data ownership, and executing hands‑on migration work across finance, procure‑to‑pay, and order‑to‑cash functions.
Responsibilities
• Lead end‑to‑end ETL/ELT data migration from multiple legacy ERPs into the new platform
• Perform data profiling, cleanup, standardization, and deduplication
• Assess and document data quality gaps, risks, and remediation plans
• Define and execute data mappings, transformation logic, and migration scripts
• Establish and enforce data governance standards, ownership, and approval workflows
• Design and execute data validation, reconciliation, and audit controls
• Use SQL and Power BI to validate migrated data and resolve discrepancies
• Support mock migrations, cutover planning, and go‑live execution
• Collaborate with functional teams on UAT and post‑migration reporting validation
• Contribute to defining long‑term data strategy and governance processes
Qualifications
• 5–8+ years of hands‑on experience in data migration, data quality, or data management
• 5+ years supporting ERP implementations or large‑scale system migrations
• Strong SQL skills for analysis, transformation, and migration execution
• Experience using Power BI for data validation and reconciliation
• Demonstrated experience with data governance, stewardship, and quality controls
• Experience with Databricks or modern data platforms (preferred)
• Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA or other Tier‑1 ERP systems (preferred)
• Experience working in large, multi‑system enterprise environments (preferred)
