Data Migration Lead

A Data Migration Lead is required for our client based in Manchester for an initial 4 month contract (possibility to extend). Ideally some on site presence but fully remote can be considered. The Data Migration Lead will be working with the client’s Legal Service to assist with the migration of case management data from multiple sources. Experience of Legal Case Management systems would be advantageous but not mandatory. The Data Migration Lead is required to: • analyse the structure of the data over all sources. • Identify the mapping to new system including any ETL activities. • Assess data quality • Assess data retention adherence Based on this the postholder would be required to produce a migration plan to the new system. This would include testing of extraction process, trial runs and the migration itself. Including any preparatory activities such as data cleansing and archiving. Experience required • Experience of data analysis and leading data migrations • Experience of Legal Services would be beneficial but not mandatory • Previous experience of public sector would be helpful • Experience and understanding of Data Cleansing and structures • Expertise in the Data Migration / Integration field • Experience in a Data migration from initiation to project close. • Previous Transformation and extraction experience • Technical expertise regarding data models, database design, ETL development, and data mining. • Strong knowledge of and experience with MS SQL technologies • Data cleansing, normalizing, reconciliation and balancing experience as related to an ETL process using SQL • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy. • Able to work under tight schedules and on multiple tasks.
