Responsibilities
Kforce has a client in NYC that is seeking a Data Migration Project Leader. Summary: The Data Migration Workstream Lead will work closely with and support the Project Meridian Data Migration Leader, by coordinating data migration activities across all functional workstreams (Finance/FICO, OTC, P2P, HR/Payroll, MDG). This is primarily a coordination and tracking role - the individual will serve as the connective tissue between workstream teams, ensuring alignment, visibility, and progress. Key Responsibilities:
β’ Coordinate and maintain the Data Migration Runbook for each wave in partnership with workstream teams, including cutover sequencing, system freeze windows, and delta validation procedures
β’ Facilitate scope alignment decisions for historical data migration vs. archival across workstreams, in compliance with regional requirements (GDPR, SOX, local statutory)
β’ Track and communicate migration activities across all modules (OTC/BRIM, FICO, P2P, HR, Master Data) against the overall program plan and wave deployment schedule
β’ Reinforce data migration principles across workstream teams: clean before you move, migrate only what's needed, and data drives process readiness
β’ Coordinate across all mock migration cycles (3 mocks per wave), tracking progress from Mock 1 through Mock 3 and ensuring workstream teams are on pace toward =98% success rate targets at production cutover
β’ Monitor status of the Finance data migration (GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Bank, CO, Project Systems) across 94 company codes, flagging risks and blockers to the Data Migration Leader
β’ Coordinate master data migration activities with the MDG team, tracking Business Partner conversions, cost centers, and profit centers
β’ Maintain and update the centralized migration dashboard, ensuring real-time visibility into progress, success rates, and open issues across all workstreams
Requirements
β’ 5+ years of experience in SAP data migration program coordination or project management, with exposure to at least one full-cycle SAP S/4HANA migration
β’ Solid understanding of SAP FICO (GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, CO, PS) and OTC/BRIM migration objects sufficient to track workstream progress and identify risks
β’ Familiarity with SAP Migration Cockpit (LTMOM) and standard SAP migration approaches
β’ Strong understanding of mock migration cycles and cutover planning processes
β’ Proven ability to coordinate across multiple cross-functional teams in a large, complex program environment
β’ Proficiency with JIRA, SmartSheets, and Google Workspace for tracking and reporting
Preferred Qualifications
β’ SAP certification in Data Migration or S/4HANA Finance
β’ Experience with SAP ECC to S/4HANA migrations at scale (100+ company codes, 50+ countries)
β’ Familiarity with SAP ODI (Order Distribution Infrastructure) and BRIM architecture
β’ Knowledge of regional data compliance requirements (GDPR, SOX, India GST, Italy SDI, Poland KSeF)
β’ Prior experience in a public company readiness (PCR) or IPO-readiness transformation context
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
