e&e is seeking a Data Migration Specialist for a hybrid contract opportunity in Harrisburg, PA! We are seeking an experienced Data Migration Specialist to support enterprise-level migration initiatives involving SAP S/4HANA, SAP BODS, and SQL Server. This role focuses on planning, designing, and executing complex data migration and integration processes from legacy systems. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of ETL practices, data modeling, and transformation logic, along with hands-on experience using SAP BusinessObjects Data Services and SAP’s Migration Cockpit. This is a critical position for ensuring data integrity, security, and business continuity throughout system transformation efforts. Responsibilities: • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze data requirements and define migration strategies. • Design, develop, and execute ETL processes using SAP BODS, S/4HANA Migration Cockpit, and related tools. • Work with business stakeholders to gather and validate data requirements, ensuring data integrity and compliance. • Transform and migrate data from legacy systems into S/4HANA and SQL Server environments. • Conduct data profiling, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation to support analytics and operational accuracy. • Develop and document comprehensive technical and functional designs, test plans, and best practices. • Perform post-migration data validation, troubleshooting, and support. • Ensure compliance with data governance, security policies, and organizational standards. • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data transformations and ETL jobs. • Collaborate with SAP and technical teams to ensure successful system integration. • Lead or participate in project team activities and stakeholder communication. Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s preferred). • 5+ years of experience in data migration and development, with at least 2 years in SAP BODS. • Strong experience in SAP S/4HANA, SQL Server, and ETL methodologies. • Experience with SAP tools such as Migration Cockpit, IDocs, BAPI, EMIGALL, LSMW. • Proficiency in developing custom migration objects. • Strong skills in SQL and data modeling techniques. • Familiarity with ABAP is a plus. • Prior experience with data migration for SAP modules like Finance, MM, SD, or BRIM. Preferred Certifications: • SAP Certified Application Associate – SAP BusinessObjects Data Services. • Additional certifications in ETL or data management.
