Role description
Senior Data Modeler / Data Architect
We are seeking an experienced Data Modeler to support enterprise data and analytics initiatives. This role will be responsible for designing and maintaining logical, physical, and dimensional data models that support reporting, analytics, and business intelligence across the organization.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience with dimensional modeling, Kimball methodology, semantic layer design, and modern cloud data warehouse platforms. Experience with Snowflake is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
• Design and maintain logical, physical, and dimensional data models for enterprise data platforms.
• Partner with business stakeholders, analytics teams, and data engineers to translate business requirements into scalable data structures.
• Develop and govern semantic models and semantic layers that support self-service reporting and analytics.
• Apply Kimball dimensional modeling methodologies, including star schema and snowflake schema design.
• Define fact tables, dimension tables, hierarchies, and business metrics.
• Collaborate with data engineering teams on data warehouse architecture and implementation.
• Ensure data models align with enterprise data governance, quality, and reporting standards.
• Support data warehouse modernization and cloud-based analytics initiatives.
Qualifications
• 7+ years of experience in Data Modeling, Data Architecture, or Data Warehousing.
• Strong experience creating logical, physical, and dimensional data models.
• Expertise in Kimball methodology, star schema, and dimensional modeling best practices.
• Experience designing and governing semantic models or semantic layers for analytics and BI platforms.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise data warehouse environments.
• Experience with Snowflake strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with modern analytics and reporting platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work directly with both technical and business stakeholders.
Preferred
• Experience with Snowflake data modeling and cloud data warehouse architecture.
• Exposure to Databricks, Azure, AWS, or other cloud-based data platforms.
• Experience supporting enterprise reporting, analytics, and self-service BI environments.
