Role description
Our client, a leading financial services organization, is seeking a Data Modeler (CLT) to join their team. As a Data Modeler (CLT), you will be part of the Capital Markets support team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a collaborative mindset which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Data Modeler (CLT) Location:Charlotte, NC What's the Job? โ€ข Define and govern canonical business semantics for products, trades, lifecycle events, parties, agreements, and reference data across capital markets domains. โ€ข Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and canonical models supporting cross-asset trading and post-trade lifecycle processes. โ€ข Establish and enforce governance standards for schema versioning, lineage, and adoption to ensure consistency and compliance. โ€ข Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams to enable enterprise-wide adoption of the Common Domain Model (CDM). โ€ข Support integration of the CDM with AI/ML initiatives, ensuring datasets are analysis-ready and metadata is enriched for advanced analytics. What's Needed? โ€ข 7+ years of experience in data modeling within financial services, especially in capital markets or investment banking environments. โ€ข Proven experience building, governing, or contributing to enterprise canonical models used across multiple systems and platforms. โ€ข Deep understanding of capital markets domains such as trades, lifecycle events, parties, and reference data. โ€ข Strong ability to lead stakeholder discussions, resolve semantic conflicts, and drive consensus on model definitions. โ€ข Experience with schema versioning, lineage, and governance in regulated environments.
