Role description
SYSTEMTEC is seeking a Data Modeler to sit HYRBID in the Columbia, SC area. This candidate will lead the design, development, and optimization of enterprise data models that support analytics, reporting, and application development. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to collaborate across business and technical teams to ensure high-quality, scalable data solutions. Requirements of the Data Modeler: β€’ Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field β€’ 4+ years of experience in data modeling β€’ Experience with data modeling tools like Erwin or ER/Studio β€’ Experience with SQL β€’ Experience with databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or MySQL β€’ Knowledge of data warehousing and business intelligence concepts β€’ Knowledge of cloud-based data storage and processing platforms such as AWS (S3, Redshift), Snowflake, Databricks β€’ Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail β€’ Strong communication and interpersonal skills β€’ Ability to work independently and in a team environment Responsibilities of the Data Modeler: β€’ Define and develop data modeling practices, standards, and guidelines β€’ Create and manage conceptual, logical, and physical data models and metadata by working with stakeholders and others β€’ Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with business units to capture data needs and translate them into model specifications β€’ Collaborate with the development teams to ensure the database design meets application requirements β€’ Conduct data analysis, and quality assurance to ensure data integrity and consistency β€’ Implement database schema changes and modifications β€’ Document data models, metadata, data flows, and data dictionaries β€’ Provide technical support and guidance to users β€’ Participate in model reviews β€’ Train developers and others in modeling Work Location: Hybrid (3 days onsite a week) in Columbia, SC Compensation / Benefits: Full-Time Employment with SYSTEMTEC means a competitive salary + paid OT, PTO, holidays, health, dental, disability, and life coverage, 401K, tuition reimbursement and more. β€’ β€’ β€’ Please note: SYSTEMTEC is not set up to employ workers in the states of California, New York, and New Jersey. β€’ β€’ β€’
