Data Modeler

Position: Data Modeler Location: Hybrid in Sacramento, CA Duration: 1 year contract with extensions Pay: $55-$60/hr. Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Modeler to lead the design and implementation of enterprise data warehouse (EDW) solutions. This role requires deep expertise in data modeling, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams. Key Responsibilities • Design and develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models for EDW projects. • Conduct business and systems analysis to gather and document requirements. • Create relational and dimensional models, including Star, Snowflake, and Hybrid schemas. • Develop facts and dimensions aligned with Kimball methodology. • Collaborate with data architects to finalize physical data models. • Document data flows and reporting inputs to support analytics. • Translate business needs into technical specifications. • Perform data analysis and predictive modeling. • Mentor team members on data modeling best practices. • Support ETL development and data integration using Oracle tools and PL/SQL. Required Qualifications • 10+ years in data management, including 5+ years in database design. • 5+ years as a data analyst or in a similar role. • 5+ years of hands-on experience with ER/Studio Data Architect. • Strong background in relational and dimensional modeling, statistical analysis, and machine learning. • Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Experience with Star, Snowflake, and Hybrid schemas. Preferred Qualifications • 2+ years working with Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW) in an OCI environment. • Expert-level knowledge of Kimball Dimensional Modeling. • Advanced proficiency in Oracle SQL Developer and ER/Studio for Oracle. • Proven leadership in Oracle data warehouse teams, including ETL, DBA, and data analysis.
