Data Modeler

Our client, a leading financial services organization, is seeking a Data Modeler to join their team. As a Data Modeler, you will be part of the Engineering department supporting cross-asset capital markets initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, innovative thinking, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Data Modeler Location: Charlotte, NC (In-office 3 days a week) What's the Job? • Consult as an expert to develop or influence initiatives and resources for highly complex business and technical needs across Engineering. • Define and govern canonical business semantics for products, trades, lifecycle events, parties, agreements, and reference data. • Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and canonical models supporting cross-asset trading and post-trade workflows. • Establish and enforce governance standards, schema versioning, lineage, and adoption strategies for enterprise-wide data models. • Collaborate with engineering, architecture, and platform teams to enable seamless implementation and adoption of the enterprise CDM. What's Needed? • 7+ years of experience in engineering, data modeling, or related fields, preferably within capital markets or investment banking environments. • Proven expertise in building, governing, or contributing to enterprise canonical models used across multiple systems and platforms. • Deep knowledge of capital markets domains such as products, trades, lifecycle events, parties, and reference data. • Experience aligning enterprise models to standards like ISDA CDM and leveraging open ecosystems like FINOS. • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to facilitate consensus across diverse teams and functions.
