Key Responsibilities
• Design and develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models for structured and unstructured data.
• Create and optimize star and snowflake schemas for analytics and reporting purposes.
• Establish data modeling standards, best practices, and guidelines.
• Leverage Databricks Lakehouse capabilities for data storage, transformation, and analytics.
• Implement data governance and security controls within the Azure ecosystem.
• Work closely with data architects to align data models with enterprise data strategies.
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into effective models.
• Partner with data engineers to ensure seamless integration of data models into ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Optimize data models for query performance and scalability.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data quality and consistency issues across environments.
Key Skills
• 7 years of experience in data modeling, data architecture, or related roles.
• Expertise in Azure Data Platform tools such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and Azure Data Lake.
• Proficiency with Databricks for data processing, transformation, and analytics.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and Python/Scala for data engineering workflows.
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle) and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with data governance, data security, and compliance frameworks.
• Knowledge of Delta Lake and its architecture principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, and agile environment.
• Attention to detail and a passion for data accuracy and quality.
