Data Modeler / BI Developer (Qlik Sense, Power BI, DBT, Databricks)
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Modeler / BI Developer to design, develop, and support end‑to‑end data models, transformation layers, and visual analytics across Qlik Sense, Power BI, DBT, and Databricks platforms. The candidate will be responsible for building scalable data architectures, implementing transformation pipelines, and enabling analytics solutions aligned with organizational and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Data Modeling & Visualization Development
· Design, develop, and maintain data models and visualizations for:
o Qlik Sense
o Power BI
o DBT
o Databricks
· Build high‑quality dashboards, reports, and analytical solutions based on stakeholder requirements.
1. Power BI & Power Platform Data Architecture
· Own the end‑to‑end design of data models for Power BI and Power Platform solutions.
· Execute DBT‑based transformations, modeling, and validation activities in compliance with organizational standards.
· Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and optimization across semantic models.
1. Qlik Sense Data Tier Configuration & Support
Configure and maintain data tiers for Qlik applications:
· First Data Tier (Extract Layer)
· Second Data Tier (Transform Layer)
· Third Data Tier (Presentation Layer)
Also replicate the corresponding architecture for Power BI and Power Platform.
1. DBT & Databricks Layered Architecture
Develop and support multi‑layered data models using:
· Bronze Layer – Extract Layer
· Silver Layer – Transform Layer
· Gold Layer – Presentation Layer
Ensure alignment with best practices in modular, scalable, and reusable data transformation logic.
1. Visualization, Access, and Deployment
· Develop and optimize visualizations in Power BI.
· Manage role-based access control (RBAC) for dashboards and datasets.
· Support deployment processes including workspace management, versioning, and CI/CD pipelines.
Required Skills & Experience
· Strong experience with Power BI (data modeling, DAX, Power Query, deployment pipelines).
· Hands‑on expertise in Qlik Sense scripting, data layers, and app development.
· Practical experience with DBT (models, tests, lineage, macros) and Databricks (PySpark/SQL, workflows, Delta Lakes).
· Solid understanding of data engineering principles, layered architectures, and ELT/ETL concepts.
· Proficiency in SQL and working with relational/cloud data platforms.
· Familiarity with Power Platform components (Power Apps, Power Automate) is an advantage.
· Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience in enterprise environments and adherence to data governance standards.
· Background in cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
· Knowledge of CI/CD for BI and data transformation tools.
· Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams including business, data engineering, and analytics teams.
