Role description
Data Modeller: We are looking for an experienced Data Modeller to design and maintain enterprise wide conceptual, logical data and physical models for our organisation. This role is critical to enabling consistent, scalable and business aligned data structures that support analytics, reporting and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge and understanding of insurance data domains, enterprise data modelling best practice and experience working with diverse stakeholders across the business and IT. β€’ 10+ years of experience in data modelling, with a strong focus on conceptual and logical data models and proven expertise in designing and implementing physical data models β€’ Experience in the insurance industry β€’ Working experience with Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, Snowflake, Databricks etc.) and exposure to Cloud Architecture principles. β€’ Extensive experience in and strong understanding of data modelling principles, data dictionaries and key data modelling tools β€’ Expertise in data modelling methodologies (e.g. 3NF, Dimensional, data vault) β€’ Excellent problem solving skills and strong attention to details β€’ Preferred to have knowledge of insurance data standards such as ACORD β€’ Strong understanding of data management, data quality, master data management and other data governance principles β€’ Familiarity with project governance tools and artifacts for product delivery (e.g. JIRA, Epic and User Story, Backlog). β€’ Practical experience with agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe frameworks. β€’ Storytelling/presentation skills with the ability to present technical and non-technical concepts to a wide variety of audiences.
