Job Title: Data Modeler with P&C Insurance Location: San Antonio / Plano, Tx Duration: 6+ Months Job Description • 6 or more years of experience on building data warehouses and as middleware interface for applications, data profiling and analysis, data modeling for OLTP & OLAP (data marts and data warehouses) • 4 or more years of experience in Relational Modeling, Dimensional Modeling, Conceptual, Logical Modeling, Physical Modeling, Star Schema, Snowflakes Schema, ERD/ER Diagrams, Granularity, Cardinality and Database Re-engineering • Proficiency in designing data models for hybrid cloud data warehouses and data lakes • Proficiency in data modelling tools such as Erwin, ER/Studio or Similar • Strong experience with AWS and on-premises infrastructure • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills • Strong communication skills to articulate complex data requirements to both technical and non-technical stakeholders • Experience in P&C Insurance Domain • Understand the concepts of modern data warehouse, Data lake, ELT and ETL • Work closely with the business analysis or subject matter experts to understand data requirements and build logical and physical data models • Define and govern data modeling and design standards, tools, best practices, and related development for enterprise data models • Oversee and govern the expansion of existing data architecture and the optimize the eco-system • Planning and supporting implementation of designed data structures by coordinating with Admin team and application development teams • Strong documentation and presentation skills If you’re open to exploring new opportunities or currently in the job market, I’d be happy to connect.
