Data Modeler

Responsibilities Kforce has a client that is seeking a Data Modeler in Westlake, TX. Duties: • Work closely with enterprise data modeling team to review and seek approval for CDA data models • Partner with project teams, vendors, support organizations, functional architects, systems specialists and other technical resources to gather information requirements and deliver data modeling solutions for CDA team • Improve the overall analysis of business requirements and deliver well architected and efficient physical database designs that reduce time to market for making design decisions • Assist in developing guidelines and standards for the data modeling checklist, governance process and for cataloging and maintaining data repositories • Help to drive conformance to the Enterprise data strategy • Bring industry thought leadership to the team • Coach data engineers within the team on data modelling Requirements • Dimensional Modeling with experience in creating conformed dimensions that can be used across Business Units • Experience working with Data Engineering and Data Analytics teams • Experience designing semantic layers and data products to enable self-service analytics, consistent business definitions and trusted insights across domains • Understanding principles and standard methodologies around Data Architecture • Strong Data modeling (Conceptual, Logical, Physical, 3nF, Dimensional) at both project and enterprise level • Data Modeling Tool such as Power designer, Oracle Designer or Erwin • Ability to write SQL to query data (ideally ANSI SQL) • Ability to apply domain-driven design to create interoperable, reusable models that scale across the enterprise Nice To Have • Experience with Snowflake experience a plus • Experience with Cybersecurity is a plus • Experience with data governance and metadata management tools and standard methodologies a plus • General knowledge of Big Data technologies, techniques, and trends The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
